Water Meter Replacement Service

The process of replacing your water meter will require an appointment and will typically take less than 45 minutes. A City employee usually needs to enter the home to replace the water meter. Water meters are usually located in the basement, along the outside wall closest to the street or alley. An adult over the age of 18 must be present for the appointment. Water service will need to be turned off by the City Employee to replace the meter; interruption of water service should only be for a few minutes. Please attempt to locate your water meter to expedite the process and any inconvenience to you. If you find the water meter is not in the basement or are aware of any unique circumstances with your water meter, please advise the city of this when making your meter change appointment.

Some meter pipe thingy broke and they came over and fixed it. Very professional complimented me on my great taste in music talked some shit about the Cubs than left.

On time, and efficient. Also changed out a meter of an adjoining property that wasn't on the schedule, but they were next door and had access, so why waste the time and come back later. Had two hours scheduled to change out 2 meters and had 3 meters changed out in less than on hour. Great service! Thank you!
